Worldwide Van Lines
is a century-old commercial and residential mover with its home office in
Saginaw, Michigan. Known for its commercial moving expertise, this brochure
markets Stevens’ abilities as a residential mover. The brochure presents
Stevens as an experienced, yet family-friendly mover. Stevens uses the same
care and attention to detail whether they are moving a corporate home office
or the home and family of a new employee. That’s why at Stevens they say,
"Wherever you're going, you're going home" Stevens continues to grow market share and although still family-owned and operated, the company competes with the largest and most experienced movers in the world. |

The Saginaw Community Foundation needed a name and a marketing vehicle to introduce a new fund that is predicated on the reality that philanthropists are made and not born. I named it ‘The New Philanthropists Fund.’ The fund grows over the child’s lifetime and although the value and annual income may become substantial, the child has to give the earnings of the fund away to the charity or social purpose he or she chooses. I tell the story of philanthropy through the voices of young children who will grow up to do great things through this fund and philanthropic program. The body copy of the brochure is a poem entitled, “I’m Just a Kid,” and it asks the haunting question, if you had been given this opportunity, “What would you have done? What would you have done?”

"Michigan Works!" is an adult education and training service in Michigan’s thumb area. ‘Michigan Works!’ helps unemployed and underemployed young adults find training and career counseling. The idea is that our young adults are a tremendous resource for Michigan business. The new Service Centers, such as the one in Huron County, have helped to put many young people on the road to rewarding careers in manufacturing and technology right in Michigan. |
